Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior. Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime.
The Integrated Treatment Program (ITP) Assessment Counselor provides initial assessments on all offenders admitted to the Integrated Treatment Program. This position works closely with Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) staff to coordinate tele-psychiatry assessments and follow up of offenders. The ITP Assessment Counselor also conducts programming with offenders in the program and acts as a mentor to less experienced counseling staff and acts in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Program Director.
- Master's Degree Social Work, Education, Counseling or closely related field required.
- CAC Certification
- A minimum of two years experience providing mental health services.
- Corrections experience preferred.
