In 1993, Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior.   Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime.  Today, Spectrum provides a range of services to more than 6,500 criminal offenders each day, in community-based settings and correctional institutions throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.

This position will be responsible for delivering group based services for individuals on Probation and Parole in the following areas: 1) Lifeskills, 2) Domestic Violence, and 3) Victim Impact.  Groups will range in size from 12-15.  Most work will be from 8am-4pm, but staff should expect to provide groups in the evening at least 2-3 times per week.  Staff will be primarily in the Probation and Parole District Office located in the city in which the job is posted, but will also be responsible to a lesser degree of providing the same services to regional Field Offices. All training will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed.

8 Hour shifts, varying from 8am-4pm to 10:30am-6:30pm. This posting is for per diem (on call) only, but covers both the Knoxville and Clinton locations.  


  • As a non-licensed position LADAC, LPC-MHSP, MAC, etc. are not required but are positives. 
  • A college degree in a related field is required.
