In 1993, Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior.   Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime.  Today, Spectrum provides a range of services to more than 6,500 criminal offenders each day, in community-based settings and correctional institutions throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.

The Program Director is responsible for the direct management of all aspects of the General Population Services (GPS) Programs within the MA DOC Contract which includes MCI Concord, MCI Shirley, MCI Gardner, MCI Norfolk and Old Colony Correctional Center. This position works closely with Massachusetts Department of Correction (MADOC) personnel, other institutional vendors, and off-site Spectrum staff to ensure delivery of services.

This position is currently based out of Shirley, however, the position could move to Norfolk if more convenient for the person hired.


  • LADC, CADC, or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Education, Counseling or closely related field.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Corrections experience preferred.
