Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior. Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime.
The Counselor provides counseling services to offenders in the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) Program. This position also works closely with Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) staff to coordinate all program services and provide information for case management/records management. Must be able to work the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.
Schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm
- Must have Bachelors Degree.
- Must be able to be a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor from GACA, NAADAC, or IC/RC within 1 year of hire.
- LPC, LAPC, LMFT, LCSW or have Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor Certification from GACA, NAADAC and/or ICRC and Correctional experience.
