In 1993, Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior. Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime. Today, Spectrum provides a range of services to more than 6,500 criminal offenders each day, in community-based settings and correctional institutions throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia.
This position will be responsible for delivering group based services for individuals on Probation and Parole in the following areas: 1) Lifeskills, 2) Domestic Violence, and 3) Victim Impact. Groups will range in size from 12-15. Staff will be primarily in the Probation and Parole District Office located in the city in which the job is posted, but will also be responsible to a lesser degree of providing the same services to regional Field Offices. All training will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed.
